Fabulous Original WWI German Navy Stitched Flag Dated 1916, Hamburg.

A wonderful example of an Authentic Original WW1 German Navy Multi Stitched Flag Dated 1916, Hamburg. The flag is Double sided and multi stitched in heavy thick cotton-construction, the colours are still very bright and vibrant. The construction consists of 3 tripes in heavy cotton, black white and red stitched together , the edging of the outer sides of the flag are in a double stitched finishing for reinforced strengthening then with a heavy cotton German WW1 iron cross applied (stitched) overlayed the centre to both sides of the flag, to the top we see stamp marks 0,6 x 1,0 (size), Hamburg (Germany) with imperial eagle and dated 1916 WW1 Era. The flag still retains its original rope ties to both sides, a fantastic small size for display and in great overall condition. Becoming hard to find original WW1 German navy Multi stitched flags.
