Fine Original WWI 1918 OBE Sterling Silver Medal with Presentation Case, A wonderful opportunity to obtain an Original WWI CIVIL 1918 OBE Civil Full-Size Medal, fully hallmarked to the reverse and suspension ring with CASE OF ISSUE. The medal is still in superb finishing as you can see from the photos, still retains its original purple Bow water fleck ribbon and pin back attachment. To the top front of medal we see the Royal Kings Crown, still prominent and present with Britannia to centre. The presentation case in which the medal is housed is of a black leatherette finishing, block letters in gold O.B.E. Press to release catch which is in perfect working order. To the inside a light cream velvet base with a silk padded liner to the roof with the full set of makers marks identification Garrard & Co by special appointment to His Majesty the King. The medal has beautiful finishing and has never been cleaned in extremely good condition. A very nice WWI Solid Silver OBE
Size of medal and ribbon combined: 110mm x 47mm. light surface marks consistent with age and genuine wear. All in all a wonderful piece with no knocks or dents.
