Rare, Hard to find, German WWII Hand Signed Signature of Deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess, extremely hard to find, considering him being the Deputy Fuhrer up until his flight to Britain in 1941. This signature is on a postcard of the Winter Olympic Games in 1936 at Garmisch. A nice written text by the person who sent it. “I have the honour to sit at the neighbouring table of the Stellvertreter Des Fuhrers Rudolf Hess and he gives his warmest regards”. The card is printed with the stamp of the 1936 Olympic Games. Good readable text, signature to the face side with a Detlev Niemann guarantee of authenticity, please note the photo of Hess in uniform is for reference only and does not form part of the sale for reference only. Rudolf Hess early days in the Nazi Party was by Hitler’s side and he was part of the attempted coup, later to become known as the Beer Hall Putsch, both men, Hitler and Hess were incarcerated in Landsberg Prison where Hitler dictated Mein Kampf which was wrote by Rudolf Hess and Emil Maurice and edited by Maz Amann. As the war progressed, Hess decided to negotiate with the British government for peace, he flew to Scotland and was captured and was held in the Tower of London and died in Spandau Prison in 1987 aged 93.
