HAND SIGNED DOCUMENT SS OFFICER STANDARTENFUHRER RUDOLF BRANDT HIMMLERS CHIEF OF STAFF
Superb document on Reich Fuhrer SS Personal Staff headed paper, the letter is dated 31.10.1942 and it is addressed to, Professor Dr Ruge concerning some medical matters, the document is ink Signed which is bold and clear, by SS Obersturmbanfuhrer Rudolf Brandt. Rudolf Brandt was born on the 2.6. 1909, he attended university in Berlin and Jena and graduated in 1933 with a doctorate of law. Brandt joined the NSDAP in 1932 and the SS in 1933, Himmler noticed this young professional SS man and by December 1933 he was a member of Himmler's persona staff. In 1935 he was commissioned as an SS officer and eventually he rose to the rank of SS Standartenfuhrer (Colonel), In 1936 he was made Himmer's chief of Staff a position he held until the end of the war. SS Standartenfuhrer Brandt was a part of the small group of SS officers who were travelling with Himmler at the time of the Reichs Fuhrer’s capture by the British Military in May 1945. Rudolf Brant was sent to trial after the end of WW2 for his involvement in building up a collection of human skulls which was to be used by the SS medical service for determining racial types, the skulls were removed from concentration camp inmates including at Auschwitz and also from captured Russian prisoners of war and especially communist commissars. Brant was found guilty of war crimes and executed in 1948. A rare signed document from a notorious SS personality. The document has been folded in the distant past, still in excellent condition.
