A very nice example of a GI American Soldier bring back, Japanese WWII National Flag, otherwise known as a Meatball Flag, consisting of a white field bearing a central red disk (a stylised sun). The flag is a beautiful small display size made of silk 900mm x 600mm. Has a nice weaved cotton finishing with aged toning, perfect display size. Totally Original Wartime Japanese National Flag. This flag comes from a consignment of items, belonging to the family of a then serving WWII soldier. Size: 900mm x 600mm the flag has been washed but still shows discolouration where folded, very good condition for its age, turned slightly yellow
