EXTREMELY RARE BRITISH UNION OF FASCISTS GROUPING DATING FROM THE LATE 1930s

An Extremely Rare British Union of Fascists grouping dating from the late 1930s Comprising of an Extremely Rare British Union of Fascist Banner/Flag , Tunic and Belt, the Set also comes with original rally board. 
An Extremely Rare banner/Flag from the political turmoil of the 1930s in Europe, the size being 30 inch x 20 inch or 82cm x 63cm, these was hung from the carrying banner pole and banner top. The banner top, were very similar to the Germany Awake banner top of the Third Reich, incorporating the same lighting flash insignia surrounded by a laurel leaf with pointed final, the box below having the wording BRITISH UNION. The scarlet ribbed material backing cloth with applied laurel leaf, with the central British Union of Fascists device of a white lightning bolt, the banner is edged with blue and white coloured thread tassels. The reverse has a plan backing cloth. The eight suspension strips are all complete and are secure with the two original press studs to each loop. This banner has seen much service and it is with some slight discoloration of flooding of colour from the red backing material onto the white laurel leaf, it also has minor staining and wear, but no damage. The only other example I have seen was in a museum, There was less than 40 such flags / banners ever produced, these flags were used for big rallies and curtain district BUF headquarters making this banner incredibly rare indeed.
This Incredible Rare British Union of Fascists black tunic/shirt comes with its original belt & buckle to complete this unique set and are in good condition, the material of the black tunic/shirt is a thick cotton quality finishing, of the early 1930s years of the BUF fencing close fitting style jacket. All buttons correct and present from the left side of the neck, shoulder, waist and one to the inside centre, they are in overall in great condition for their age, the tunic shirt is of a small size, which displays very well within the grouping. The belt/buckle is of fine quality finishing most of the aging to the leather belt itself some cracking . The large size buckle is made of thick brass with the BUF fascist embossed insignia to front. It is thought there were only 500 active members that owned these uniforms and tunics making them incredibly rare to find today. Oswald Mosley stated that the black shirt was worn because the colour black best expressed the iron determination of fascism in the face of red anarchy.
