Magnificent Original Set of WWI Military Cross and Trio KIA. 1918

A fantastic set of totally original full Size Cased military cross and trio. To Lieutenant Major Thompson who was Killed in Action October 1918. Comes with history. He was awarded the Military Cross September 2018 with the following citation For Conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when a gun pit camouflage and ammunition dump were set ablaze by enemy shell fire. He organised a party of men and eventually succeeded while ammunition in the pit was exploding in all directions in putting out the fire. He saved the gun and a large quantity of ammunition He was sadly killed in action in Flanders the following month whilst serving with the 121st Brigade of the Royal Field Artillery and is buried in Bertry Communal Cemetery. 2 Lieutenant RFA on the star and Major on the pair. NEF/EF with original Ribbon and original case of issue. Comes complete with history. Medals in good condition. The box has some cuff marks a little pull to the top corner box closed tight and correct
