FANTASTIC TYPE II, FULL SIZE CBE MEDAL AND KNECK TIES WITH FITTED CASE,

A wonderful opportunity to obtain a 100% Original Large Full Size CBE Medal Type II CBE Sterling Silver/Guilloche Medal this was made by Toye Kenning and Spencer Ltd London, box has gold lettering CBE to front, comes with original card stating how to wear. Dates from around the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This example has the very hard to find both neck ties present, red water fleck with white strips to the outer edging, fasteners still present. Type 2, issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, To the top front of the medal the Royal Crown, still prominent and present, the medal finishing of guilloche enamel is in good condition with the inner circle in red finished enamel with block lettering in gold “For God and the Empire”. To the centre conjoined busts finished in gold gilt. To the reverse of the medal has the Royal cipher with crown above and roped bordering. The medal is hinged attached to the crown which is in perfect working order and correct. The medal has beautiful aged toning and has never been cleaned.
Size of medal from Top of Crown with ring to bottom: 85mm high x 64mm wide.
