FANTASTIC WWII CASED MEDAL GROUPING, FULL SIZE CBE WITH LARGE AND MINITURE MEDAL SET

A very nice example of a WWII medal set grouping, comprising of a cased Full Size example of the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire - a C.B.E. Neck Badge, Civil Division. Along with a cased Second World War Group of Five Medals, comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star with 8TH ARMY clasp, Italy Star, Defence and War Medals, fitted beneath the full-size medals in the lower compartment are a full set of miniatures of the above five medals with the additional of the miniature CBE.
The cased CBE is housed in its original leatherette box of issued stamped Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham England and comes complete with its original water fleck neck tie. The medal is full sized with a beautiful Guilloche finishing made in Sterling Silver in wonderful condition. To the outer centre for CBE reads God and the Empire, to the centre is the conjoined side facing cameo of the King and Queen side. The WWII Medal group of large and miniature medals are housed in a red leatherette case, with two compartments the full-size medals to the top and beneath in their own compartment are the miniature set, the outer case has gold borders to the outer edge, inside, padded silk lining with full inscription Spink & Son Ltd 5,6, & 7 King St, St James, London SW1Y 7QS Founded 1666. Note The Africa Star with 8th Army Clasp denoting that he fought in North Africa against General Erwin Rommel. All in all, a fantastic grouping in very good condition.
