TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND UNTOUCHED WWII GERMAN HJ/DJ BLACK SKI CAP WITH DIAMOND

This is a super, used example and only if it could talk. The black ski cap was introduced around 1935. This was the winter service cap for both HJ and DJ boys. Similar to the army Bergmutz, black coarse wool with visor and a turn up that buckled to the front. This one has its original enamel HJ Diamond badge that’s embedded into the cloth seam with age. There is a small piece of enamel missing from the top part of the badge, but it’s gone black with age and time. Wool body of the cap shows no damage or moth nips etc. however, the inside grey/blue silk type lining has worn and torn in a few places, exposing the inside stuffing and material. The celluloid diamond is still present. The inner front leather peak has the boys initial pierced through it JN. Great cap and pretty rare as an untouched piece.
