Totally Original Authentic incredible 343 years old English Sterling Silver Charles II 1683 Period Lace Back Trifid Tablespoon. A wonderful opportunity to purchase a Rare English Sterling silver Trifid lace back Rattail tablespoon made in London during the reign of King Charles II 1683. The spoon has a wonderful highly polished silver finish to its entirety and has a beautiful period look which reflects the Stuarts Era. The finial depicts the Trifid pattern, the lace back, with swirls and swishes this also carries through to the reverse of the spoon, please see photos. The hallmarks which are worn but in fair condition date letter very prominent, the makers mark is worn possibly IB, the spoon to the finial has later initialling engraving. King Charles II was King of England during the great plague and great fire of London. Becoming hard to find spoons from King Charles Il era.
