a Double-Sided Silk Map of French Indo China. Very nice coloured RAF escape map covering the French Indo China and Siam area. A Good double-sided J, K example in fine condition these were often referred to as silk maps due to their texture of a silk like material, the map depicts French Indo-China region. showing landmarks such as railway networks, waterways etc, great detailed throughout. Such maps were used by RAF Flight personal during bombing raids and kept with the individual in case they were shot down or need to ditch the plane and then use the map as a means of escape out of that particular county. A Very nice Authentic WW2 British R.A.F far East Escape map. Would look fantastic framed. This map may be made of silk or a fine nylon material.
