The NSDAP Opfer Ring ("Victim's Ring" or "Donors' Circle") was an institution of the Nazi Party used for the regular collection of financial donations, primarily at the Gau (district) level. It was not an official, Reich-level party structure but rather a regional arrangement. Financial Support: The primary function was to raise funds for the NSDAP. A Way to Show Support: From May 1933, the NSDAP had banned new members. The Opfer Ring, established in March 1934, offered people who could not officially join the party a way to express their support and alignment with the Nazi ideology through regular financial contributions. Membership & Badges: Members received a special badge (pin) as a sign of their participation and support. These badges often had specific regional markings (e.g., "Gau Hessen-Nassau" or "Gauleitung Mecklog Lübeck”) indicating the local party organization responsible for the collection.
