Beautiful mint condition Iron Cross 2nd Class by very desired and renowned iron cross maker Berg & Nolte of Ludenscheid. The cross is 3-part construction with suspension ring stamp numbered 40 and with ribbon, cross still retaining all of its original silver frosting to front and back and made of solid German silver. Iron core centre and all black paint remaining, PKZ Code stamp number 40 to ring, this denoting the very desirable maker Berg & Nolte of Ludenscheid, who were a prestige maker of the iron cross, In mint condition some age toning to rim.
