Rare Set of WW2 Military Wrought Iron Handcuffs Dated 1942, Hiatt Best.

A Wonderful opportunity to obtain a totally authentic set of British military police handcuffs with key made by highly collected makers -Hiatt Best, the handcuffs are in full working order and are heavily stamped and dated 1942. This particular set was purchased directly from the family whose father was in the military police during WW2. The set is Made of heavy wrought iron, stamps include – 1942, broad arrow - for military, warranted wrought, number 343, British, becoming hard to find original WW2 military police examples as most are standard police issued. The police officer in question that used these handcuffs as now sadly passed away , the information on his career I gathered from his family on purchase was very interesting indeed , apparently during his time serving in his career in WW2 was solely within the British military police, he had used this set of handcuffs on British deserted soldiers , used them to transport some troublesome German prisoners of war soldiers for prison to prison, and even apparently an SS officer prisoner of war, very fascinating . a nice war time example that’s dated 1942 and made by a highly respected maker Hiatt Best, please view my other very rare police jack the ripper related item and other items here, please note the sale is for the handcuffs only and not for the truncheon in one of the pictures that is list here on a separate listing.
