Eisenhower, Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark. General B.L. Montgomery, Eighth Army, Italy - a signed typed letter of thanks, dated December 1943; General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe - a signed typed letter of thanks to Miss Ethel Lewis of Gloucester, dated 10 January 1945; Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark - a signed V-Mail of thanks to the above Miss Ethel Lewis, dated December 13 1943, signed twice, front and back.
Field Marshall Montgomery commander of the 8th army in Italy. The letter signed by him was dated December 1943, the same month Monty was called back to England to take command of the land forces that were to take part in the invasion of Normandy which took place on 6th June 1944, otherwise known as Operation Overlord, - D Day.
General Dwight D. Eisenhower Supreme commander of the Allied forces, later became the 34th Presidents of the United States and is ranked within the top ten of the best serving presidents.
Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark was in charge of the 5th Army and there is much information to be found about this famous general. Fantastic hand signed grouping of commanders, generals and later President.
