A rare opportunity to obtain an original full size Second Issue, Named MBE with case of issue, how to wear card and various documentation from 10 Downing Street (The heart of British Government), St James Palace, Buckingham Palace the United Kingdom’s Royal Residence and even including the original envelope it was posted in. The original honour was given by King George VI; however, it was Presented by the young Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II before she was coronated, this would be amongst her first royal duties to carry out investiture ceremonies, this particular one taken place just 48 days after she became queen of England after the death of her father. To the top front of medal, we see the Kings Crown prominent and present, conjoined Side facing cameo of King and Queen. Stamped STERLING to reverse. The presentation case in which the medal is housed is of a black leatherette finishing, block letters in gold MBE. Press to release catch which is in perfect working order.
