ORIGINAL WWII GERMAN M38 FALLSCHIRMJAGER HELMET WITH BULLET HOLE.

A totally original WWII M38 German Fallschirmjager M38 Paratroopers Helmet with Bullet Hole to side. The helmet is in relic combat preserved condition, minus its liner. The Shell has a wonderful overall brown patina inside and out with surface rust, is stable. No visible markings on inner rim which is rusted. There is a bullet hole on the right-hand side, please see photos, with a nick to the left rim. From the angle of entry, it is likely it was being worn at the time. This item was found in Normandy. A wonderful opportunity to obtain a paratrooper’s helmet if this has its original decals it would be over a few thousand pounds. A great display and conversation piece.
The Fallschirmjager was the airborne forces branch of the Luftwaffe before and during WWII. They were the first paratroopers to be committed in large scale airborne operations and was commanded by Kurt Student the Luftwaffe’s second in command.
Size no sizes stamped possibly large.
Condition: a wonderful age patina throughout has bullet hole to side,
