WWI ORIGINAL STERLING SILVER 1916 ISSUED MBE MEDAL AND CASE GARRARD & CO.

Fine Original MBE Solid Silver Medal & Presentation First Type. A wonderful opportunity to obtain an Original Full Size MBE Original Presentation Case intact, made by Royal Silversmith Makers Garrard & Co. The medal is still in superb finishing as you can see from the photos, with original purple silk water fleck ribbon with pin back attachment, which is ring stamped lion passant and full set of hallmarks. To the top front of medal, we see the Kings Crown prominent and Britannia side portrait. The presentation case in which the medal is housed is of a purple leatherette finishing, block letters in gold MBE. Press to release catch which is in perfect working order. To the inside a cream velvet base with a silk padded liner to the roof with the full Garrard & Co stamp by appointment to His Majesty the King. Age toning, has never been cleaned.
