1875 BOXED PATENT DOCUMENT SET WITH QUEEN VICTORIA GREAT WAX SEAL OF THE RELM
A fantastic complete boxed set 1875 patent document with Queen Victoria Great Wax Seal of the Realm, comprising of original leatherette box containing Royal Patent document set with Queen Victorias Great Wax Seal of the Realm in its original Tin container of issue. Cotton related to, Thomas Flitcroft for improvements in the construction of Carding Engines dated 12th January 1875, London. The Wax seal has superb detailing to both the front and reverse, Queen Victoria enthroned, septa in hand with two figures either side please see photos The Wax Seal is of the large size and comes within its original tin case of issue, The seal is attached to the printed document on vellum with manuscript additions patent document presented in a black leather covered case with gilt name and Manchester address.
Amongst the separate items, is also another patent to Thomas Flitcroft 27th February 1884, printed on paper with manuscript additions, again which are cotton related. The London Gazette from Monday 18th April to Thursday 21st April 1681, 2pp The London Gazette, The London Chronicle from Saturday March 20th to Tuesday March 23rd 1802, another issue from 1803 and a few steel engraved maps from an atlas mid-19th Century.
Size: Wax seal in tin case :172mm x 35mm. Presentation box 287mm x 220mm x 70mm.
Condition: the box is distressed but still complete and closes correctly, inside documents in good condition, one small slip of paper, has come away into two pieces. please view photos
