A very impressive large wartime RAF standard pendent/flag with rope and metal fixings. Circa 1930s-40 for this high-ranking Officer. Taper format panel stitched linen segment, horizontal panels in red, dark and light Sky blue, rope and metal attachments, various worn stamp marks. Group Captain is the equivalent as a Colonel in the British Army and would have been in charge of the day to day running of an RAF Airbase during the war and would have been flown when he was present at the station., would look superb framed. Size: 24 inches x 36 inches. Good condition.
