WWI, WWII MINIATURE GROUPING OF MEDALS (DFC)

Fine miniature grouping of WWI and WWII medals, mounted for wearing comprising of the Distinguished Flying Cross (Gallantry Award Medal, given for an act or acts of valour, courage), 1914-1915 Star Medal, War Medal Victory Medal (all four WWI acts) The latter two medals were WWII who comprises of the Defence Medal and 1939-1945 War Medal. The DFC medal with its distinctive horizontal alternative white and purple stripes was struck in Sterling silver The award was established in 1918 shortly after the formation of the RAF with the Royal Warrant published on the 5thDecember 1919, the medal would have been awarded towards the end of WWI and issued and presented in 1919, the two later medals were issued for WWII. Pin back attachment in full working order. Length of medal ribbon bar: 100mm, wonderful age toned condition.
