A very nice, English Sterling Silver Inlaid on Tortoise shell Sweetheart Badge Yorkshire WWI dated 1915, has the military style fixture to the reverse in full working order, beautiful inlay Regimental badge to front in very good condition Sweetheart badges were given by the soldiers to wives and girlfriends as a token of remembrance and they would have worn them on their lapels. Full Silver hallmarks for London to the reverse. This regiment raised to 24 battalions with 65,000 men, 9200 died and 24,000 wounded.
