WWII ROYAL AIR FORCE LONG SERVICE CONDUCT FULL SIZE MEDAL ERII
A very nice example of a Royal Air Force Solid Silver Good Conduct Full Size Medal to Sgt C. Charles, swivel attached. The medal ribbon consists of original white strip, dark blue strip, burgundy and white strip. The medal was given during the reign of Elizabeth II, but for 15 years’ service in the RAF During WWII. The obverse of the medal shows the effigy of Early Queen Elizabeth II bun head. The reverse shows the Royal Air force Eagle with outstretched wings. The Medal is very well struck with all detailing remaining to lettering and RAF wings and Elizabeth. The outer edge of medal is stamped service number 637212 F/ Sgt C. Charles RAF. These medals were produced in Sterling Silver. Size of metal from top of ribbon to bottom 92mm high x 36mm wide. Condition: light surface marks consistent with age and genuine use.
