WWII BRITIISH AMBULANCE HELMET & CARRY BAG 1940

A very nice early WWII example of a British Homefront Ambulance Serviceman’s Helmet dated 1940 this during the period of the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. The helmet comes in its rare and hard to find carry bag/cover. The helmet is double stencilled A for Ambulance, one to the front and one to the back. The helmet still retains its original liner and chin strap. The carry bag/cover shows some age staining with a press to release stud in full working order. The top of the helmet shows some light ghosting where the straps have been over it. All in all a very hard to find complete set of helmet and cover/bag issued during the very early stages of WWII.
