AN EXTREMELY RARE BRITISH UNION OF FASCISTS BANNER/FLAG

An extremely Rare BUF Banner/Flag from the political turmoil of the 1930s in Europe, the size being 30inch x 20 inch or 82cm x 63cm, these was hung from the carrying banner pole and banner top. The banner top, were very similar to the Germany Awake banner top of the Third Reich, incorporating the same lighting flash insignia surrounded by a laurel leaf with pointed final, the box below having the wording BRITISH UNION. The scarlet ribbed material backing cloth with applied laurel leaf, with the central British Union of Fascists device of a white lightning bolt, the banner is edged with blue and white coloured thread tassels. The reverse has a plan backing cloth. The eight suspension strips are all complete and are secure with the two original press studs to each loop. This banner has seen much service and it is with some slight discoloration of flooding of colour from the red backing material onto the white laurel leaf, it also has minor staining and wear, but no damage. The only other example I have seen was in a museum, There were less than 40 such flags / banners ever produced, these flags were used for big rallies and curtain district BUF headquarters making this banner incredibly rare indeed.
