King William IV signed Royal Pardon dated May 1833. King William IV signatures as this King only Reigned for Seven Years so to find this on a Royal Pardon is incredibly rare. Two part folio (4 leafs) Signature to the top with Paper Royal Wafer Seal affixed, to the Keeper of the Gaol at Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk to pardon John Hearn who was convicted of riot and assault and was imprisoned for six months. Countersigned on the 2nd leaf by Lord Melbourne, William Lamb the 2nd Viscount Melbourne, who was Home Secretary and later Prime Minister 3rd side, the integral blank leaf, the 4th side has a newspaper cutting Memoir of His Late Majesty, Our Court at St James 8 May 1833.
