Antique Victorian Sterling 1883 Silver Three Piece Travelling communion Set. A fine and most beautiful, highly sought after Antique Victorian sterling silver three-piece travelling communion set with travelling case dating 1883, made by Silversmith Maker of the time James Beebe of London, the communion set consists of chalice, paten, and wine ewer (with lid and cork seal), each items has the star burst with inscription IHS which is Latin for Jesus, which is beautifully engraved. Each item carries the same full set of Sterling Silver hallmarks, the chalice has gold-gilt interior, the wine ewer beautifully made in the Victoria era finishing. this set has never been put together and is a complete set, which all sit in their original blue velvet lined presentation box with brown leatherette finishing, press to release catch which is in working order. All in all a wonderful collectors piece, becoming hard to find as most wine ewer’s on todays market are of glass, this set is entirely of Sterling silver.
