Fascinating collection of Full Size MBE and various letters along with the Hand singed citation of King George V and Prince Edward 1932, along with the recipients Sterling Silver MBE & Presentation Case
The various letters include:
Dec 1914 From the Parliamentary Committee requesting Mr George Elmslie to immediately sign up for HM Forces.
Nov 1915 From Inland Revenue for non conscription of Mr George Elmslie to the HM Forces for he was a much valid member of the Inland Revenue and they required his services.
Dec 1932 From 10 Downing street including envelope advising of recommendation for MBE.
Jan 1932 Citation hand signed by King George V and Prince Edward
Feb 1932 From Central Chancery of the Order of Knighthood St James Palace confirming date and time of forthcoming investiture.
Feb 1932 From Central Chancery of St James confirming Registration.
Dec 1932 From Central Chancery of St James confirming the notification of the death of Mr George Elmslie.

MBE is Sterling Silver fully hallmarked. Full Size Medal with Original Presentation Case intact made by Royal Silversmith makers of the time Garrard of London and issued 1930.The medal is still in superb finishing, The presentation case is of a purple leatherette finishing, block letters in gold MBE. Press to release catch which is in perfect working order. To the inside a cream velvet base with a silk padded liner to the roof with the full Garrard stamp and by special appointment to His Majesty The King London. The suspension ring is also hallmarked with the lion passant. Medal size : 75mm x 50mm. In super condition the set.
