A Very Rare (Tower of London) Yeoman Warden State Ceremonial Hat.
State Ceremonial Hat of the Yeoman Warden . The Hat is in excellent condition with all original features intact, the ribbons are made of high quality silk in red, white and blue that adorn the outside rim of the hat, which is of a black velvet finish. The hat is made by famous hat maker Patey of London, the makers silk pyramid patch to inside. The State Ceremonial Hat is worn on such occasions as the State Opening of Parliament attended by Her Majesty the Queen and the Coronations of the Monarchy. The Yeoman of the Guard was created in 1485 and are the Queens Body Guards. A very rare and desirable Hat of a Yeoman Warder commonly known as a Beefeater, whos headquarters are in St James Palace.
