Victorian British Kings Own Light Infantry Scarlet Red Tunic Circ 1889. A 100% original. high quality British Victorian Army Tunic of the Kings Own Light Infantry South Yorkshire Regiment. Scarlet Red tunic with black collar with white pipe edge with outer edge bullion wire Tresse. Matching black shoulder broads with one pip and original button. The cuffs of both sleeves have matching facing complete with bullion wire cuff insignia. All buttons are Victorian Queens Crown for the Kings Light Regiment and are original. Reverse of tunic at the base features decorative facing complete with gilt regimental buttons and white piping, also retains one original belt hook the rest are missing. White cloth lining to the interior which has age paten and some light ripping please see photos. The tunic dates from around 1889. 100% original tunic, iconic regiment.

Was a light Infantry Regiment of the British Army, it officially existed from 1881 to 1968. But its predecessors go back to 1755. Condition: Has some moth tracks to back and front, does not defer from this Splendid Victorian Tunic, displays very well.
