Category:
£445.00
Original large Authentic document citation to Paul Archer giving at St James Palace on 1st March 1929, to award OBE. Hand signed to top right corner by Prince Albert on behalf of the King George R. Prince Albert later became King George VI after the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII. To the lower right hand bottom large bold signature of Edward Prince. He was better known as the King that never was, due to his abduction to marry Wallace Simpson. Becoming hard to find documents signed by both Princes who both became Kings of England.
Prince Albert was seconded in line to the throne and became King of England after the abdication of his brother Edward VIII. King George VI had a stammer (portrayed in the movie the Kings Speech) he died on the 6th February 1952 of lung cancer. Please see photographs and wonderful collection of British Royal memorabilia. Would grace any collection.
Condition: one tiny fold tear and foxing, otherwise in great condition, the signatures have faded slightly but still very legible.
