Stunning example of a rare maker of the Iron Cross 2nd Class, this iron cross is in a 3-part construction with suspension ring stamp number 40 clear without ribbon. the cross still retaining 99.9 Percent of its original outer silver frosting to front and back and made of solid German silver. Iron core to centre with 99 percent of the original black paint remaining to the front and with PKZ Code stamp number 40 to ring, this denoting the very desirable renowned maker Berg & Nolte Ludenscheld of Germany who were a prestige maker of the time.
