£850.00
A Beautiful Totally Authentic original example of a Third Reich German Political Armband for an Ortsgruppenleiter (1939-45) This particular example is the highest rank at the Ortsgruppe level of third Reich political leadership and would have been worn by the local party leader of a district in nazi Germany. Constructed of fine red wool felt with a stunning black ribbed Swastika with golden thread edging centred against a white circle again surrounded with a golden thread, and affixed with a single gilt metal eagle swastika pip. A beautiful Single central band of golden oak leaves bordered by twin rows of gilt and with outer blue (Orts-level) piping to each edge, with an inner single row of gilt. 12.5cm high and approximate length of 38cm stitched to hit.
Wonderful condition, this example is free from damage with light age marking to the ribbed rayon circle. Would grace any third Reich collection.
An Ortsgruppenleiter (third Reich Local Group Leader) in the NSDAP from 1939-1945 held a significant political position at the local levels (Ortsgruppe), responsible for the Party operations within towns, cities, or neighbourhood within nazi Germany. Uniforms for this level were characterized by specific insignia, notably blue piping, to distinguish them from regional (Kreis) or national (Reich) leaders.
