FINE STERLING SILVER 1960s CASED FULL SIZE OBE MEDAL WITH CASE OF ISSUE

A wonderful opportunity to obtain an honest Original English Sterling Silver 1960s O.B.E Full-Size Medal, with CASE OF ISSUE. The medal is still in superb silver gold gilt finishing condition as you can see from the photos, still retains its original Red with 2 white outer stripes water fleck ribbon in very good condition. To the top front of medal we see the Royal Kings Crown, still prominent and present with King and Queen side Conjoined bust profile. this example having Pin back attachment along with sterling wording indicating the medal is made of sterling English silver finished in a silver gold gilt overlay. The presentation case in which the beautiful medal is housed is in a good condition, made of a black leatherette finishing, block letters in gold O.B.E. Press to release button catch which is in perfect working order. To the inside a light white cream velvet silk liner to the roof and bottom finished in light cream padding. The medal has beautiful age finishing and has never been cleaned showing honest aging and in a fine condition. A very nice English Solid Silver with silver gold gilt OBE. Official OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) badges are made of sterling silver with silver-gold gilt. This means they are struck from solid silver and coated with a thin layer of gold, giving them a brilliant gold appearance.
