RARE SPECIAL AIR SERVICE (S.A.S.) EMBROIDERED STITCHED BERET BADGE INSIGNIA.

A wonderful incredible opportunity to obtain a used example totally original authentic and very desirable rare post WW2 cold war period special Air Service (S.A.S) cloth cap stitched beret badge insignia with rare original wax paper backing has been worn. A very desirable and highly collectable elite early cold war vintage pattern SAS beret badge with the famous SAS motto (who dares wins) to front along with sword and winged sides to the reverse a buckram style felt cloth black backing, this particular badge has been fitted to the front of a SAS beret and used as you can see the stich holes to reverse. fantastic embroidery finishing and with fine detailing. To the back of this rare example, it still retains its original wax paper backing A very nice desirable rare special air service SAS badge. This particular SAS related insignia came from a very large collection of SAS period cap badges, buttons, and cloth items, all of which were collected by a gentleman beginning in his childhood and throughout his lifetime, The collector is sadly now deceased and some of his collection is now available for sale.
